He goes on and on, very fast, most sentences incomplete. He talks about how long he's been out here. How much more awful it was when he was drinking and how many guys he knows died falling off the wharf drunk. He talks about avoiding a lot of people now. People hold assumptions, he says. They hold onto old stories.
