Wild Geese Call - That was a good day.
Memory from March 2015
It was THAT cold.
Sea Smoke Above Mussel Cove.
Beyond any plan I may have had. Your stalwart allegiance to this moment.
Trees detailed out in ice for the second day…the grace of cold and no wind. And then sea smoke this morning. How can my heart hold any more. And still…
Spirit Rising. On a breath. Cold enough to burn.
There have been other bodies pulled from this sea.
It was a delicate life boat. Never sure who might make it. And who might not.
I may have been screaming in my car. I may have punched the radio. Strangled the steering wheel. But then, you're like this, sort of 'na-na-nan-nah boo boo.'
And I'm done.
This is how you barge in, down the river, like a freight train off its tracks
The Inner Harbor of Casco Bay. Sea smoke stoking down the river toward the sea. Like a silent freight train. Biting. Beautiful.
A Ship of Sea Smoke Spilling through. Didn't wait for the bridge to lift. Didn't care at all.
Frozen Fog
It is so cold it burns and from this tiny cove off Casco Bay all I can see is Australia.
