A room with a lovely view. Paths beaten down. Plastic bags strewn. Empty food and beverage containers. A bicycle wheel. Some wet clothing melding into the soil.I cannot imagine there will be less of this soon.
Walking out to a place revealed only at deepest low tide...
Walking out to a place revealed only at deepest low tide so I go and I sit and I watch as the sun plays and the clouds swoon and so do I...until I walk back and find the water over my boot tops.
Love at first light. Love at first sight.
Love at first light. Love at first sight.
This is how you would start with me.
This is how you would start with me.
For just this moment...
For just this moment. I didn't think. Or speculate. Or anticipate. Or project. And that relief was your gift to me.

...and there we were. In a moment of balance that would not be forever.
The rocks left behind by someone. The dog raced up and barked and then wagged her tail having given it a good sniff. And there we were. In a moment of balance that would not be forever.

Without Turning
"Maitri ... has the meaning of trusting oneself-trusting that we have what it takes to know ourselves thoroughly and completely without feeling hopeless, without turning against ourselves because of what we see." - Pema Chodron

Without Turning
I do not encounter anyone out here. But in the last decade I can count on one hand the folks I have encountered at first light.
You are my medicine. I will not miss the hand of your nonchalant blessing given whether I arrive or not. It's in the showing up.
Contact our elders.
Ya' know old trees just grow stronger
And old rivers grow wilder ev'ry day
Old people just grow lonesome
Waiting for someone to say 'Hello in there, hello'
-John Prine

I might stand outside our six foot boundary and look in and let my heart fill and I would feel you hold me up.
